“At the crossroads of flavours and traditions”
Set deep in the sunny valley which stretches to the foot of Great St. Bernanrd, Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses is an ancient bridge connecting Italy and Northern Europe, and has witnessed the passing by of popes and pilgrims, common wayfarers and noble leaders, and even the Napoleon’s army.
Besides the fascinating path of the Via Francigena, a medieval thoroughfare leading to Canterbury, of particular interest are the Bosses Castle, dating back to the fifteenth century, the Chez-Vullien Medieval Fort in Les Maisons, and the antique stone public wash tube bearing the coat-of-arms of the Counts of Savin de Bosses.
A typical local product of the Aosta Valley is Bosses Ham, a homemade PDO prosciutto matured according to the ancient traditions. This is the delicious protagonist of a food festival which takes place in the month of July. The area is also known for its breeding of Saint Bernard dogs and for the chalybeate water (with healing properties), which flows from the Citrin Spring (1800 m) and abundantly stream out from the town fountain.

A winter paradise for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts at an altitude that reaches 2400 metres. During the summer it offers numerous routes for those who love excursions either on foot or on mountain bike. Very famous is the route of the Malatrà Pass, where the Tor des Géants passes through.
Surf in a white sea: the “Crévapark” snowpark is an essential stop-off point for snowboarding experts. It is equipped with a 100-metre long and 3-metre high wedge, and jumps up to 10 metres high for exciting manoeuvres in the snow.
Sliding around on four wheels: in La Rosière an ice rink is found for cars where enables the most fearless can slide around on 4 wheels, on a stretch around 400 metres in length. The car must be fitted with normal studded tyres (non with pyramidal studs).
